Principal Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal/Lead Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about product-led growth, data-oriented decision-making, and thrives in a startup environment. As a strategic leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our customer identity cloud product marketing initiatives and driving product adoption and growth. This is a senior, individual contributor role with the potential to grow into a management position as we scale.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue and product growth strategy for our product.
  • Focus on customer acquisition, conversions, onboarding, and expansion to ensure sustained developer adoption.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and product analytics to identify growth opportunities and drive targeted campaigns.
  • Apply instrumentation tooling and systems in on the website and product to measure engagement and run experiments.
  • Contribute to developing highly targeted sales-facing pipe generation and pipe motions.
  • Build measurable programs to drive usages to existing users and customers
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, sales across the company, in a Customer First approach.
  • Continuously gather customer feedback, insights, and success stories to inform product improvements and marketing strategies.
  • Be the "voice of the customer" and use customer insights to influence product development and go-to-market decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Utilize market insights to drive product positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Create compelling and data-oriented product-related content, including website messages, email campaigns, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and sales presentations.
  • Develop content to support marketing campaigns and sales initiatives across all stages of the sales funnel.
  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in modern development products and technologies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to showcase expertise and build brand recognition.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to align product strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all departments.
  • Work with partners on joint initiatives and programs.
  • Define key metrics, track performance, and provide regular reporting on the success of product growth initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI.
  • Proven experience in product marketing within the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry.
  • Strong understanding of product-led growth strategies and methodologies.
  • Experience in developer tools, platform and cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Familiarity with developer communities, and the development technology ecosystem for full stack and JS developers.
  • Education background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and take initiative in a startup environment.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews and leveraging customer insights for decision-making.
  • A "get things done" attitude with a strategic mindset.
The annual base salary for this position will be competitive and will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
